EUROPIR® TUBE are modern plugs made of highly insulating PIR foam, designed for thermal insulation of mechanical connector plates during the installation of panels and facade insulation systems. EUROPIR® TUBE caps in the form of a tube with a suitable diameter and length of 1000 mm can be adjusted to the depth of the resulting hole. In this way, they ensure accurate insulation of each connector regardless of its depth of installation. Simply insert the tube into the hole created at the mounting point of the fastener, press it in until you feel a clear resistance, and cut off the remaining protruding part with a knife or hand saw so that it is flush with the façade. If necessary, simply sand down the protruding cap with the remaining part of the tube or a polyurethane block.

EUROPIR® TUBE caps are used to increase the tightness of thermal insulation and reduce the risk of thermal bridges. Their use eliminates the undesirable phenomenon of localised water vapour condensation at the mounting points of fasteners and the discolouration of the façade that occurs over time.

Application in construction:

Insulation of mechanical connectors during wall insulation.

Single-family and multi-family buildings.

Residential blocks.

Public utility buildings.

Commercial premises.

Energy-efficient and passive buildings.

Insulation of newly constructed buildings.

Thermal modernisation.

The exceptionally low lambda value among unclad panels translates into an effective reduction in energy losses used for heating and cooling rooms and the associated costs.

The slightly elliptical shape ensures better seating and fastening of the plug in the hole and more secure protection of the connector plate.

High resistance to biological and chemical factors and parameter stability guarantee the durability and functionality of the façade, as well as high insulation efficiency over many years.

Transport and storage

As standard, EUROPIR® TUBE caps are packed in UV film according to the customer's order.

Packages with caps should be transported using appropriate, adapted means of transport. Packages can be delivered by collective transport without pallets or packed on pallets.

Recommendations for storage and transport of EUROPIR® thermal insulation caps:

  • protect packaging from damage, do not throw,
  • store packaging with caps in a dry place,
  • protect the plugs from weather conditions,
  • do not place heavy or sharp objects on the packaging that could damage it,
  • dispose of packaging and damaged plugs in accordance with local regulations,
  • after unpacking, protect the caps from UV radiation. Sunlight does not impair the technical parameters, but may cause the product to change colour.

Implementation guidelines.

The installation of EUROPIR® TUBE plugs involves cutting a hole approximately 15–20 mm deep (depending on the shape of the mechanical connector plate) in the insulation board using a special attachment for a drill. Then, install the mechanical connector according to the supplier's or manufacturer's instructions. After fixing the connector, insert the tube into the hole made at the mounting point of the fastening connector, press it in until you feel clear resistance and cut off the remaining protruding part with a knife or hand saw so that it is flush with the façade. If necessary, simply sand the resulting plug with the remaining part of the tube or a polyurethane cube.

At every stage of the work, protect the boards and end caps from UV rays. Sunlight does not impair the parameters of PIR foam products, but it does cause them to change colour. During the work, use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow health and safety rules.
