EUROPIR® DUAL – rigid PIR foam boards without cladding, designed for insulating facades finished with clinker tiles. Specially designed mounting guides on both sides of the board allow for easy installation of 3 different types of clinker tiles (RF/NF/WDF). The guides greatly facilitate the application of the finishing layer, significantly reducing the time required to complete this type of work.

EUROPIR® DUAL boards are used for thermal insulation and thermal modernisation of single- and multi-family buildings, public facilities and commercial premises. It is a lightweight, slim and effective insulation for external walls, also recommended for use in energy-efficient construction and passive houses. These boards are recommended for use in the insulation of walls in both new buildings and during the thermal modernisation of existing ones.

Application in construction:

Single-family and multi-family buildings

Public utility buildings

Commercial premises

Energy-efficient and passive buildings

Insulation of new buildings

Thermal modernisation

Icon

The exceptionally low lambda value among unclad panels translates into a significantly lower thickness of the insulation layer, which in turn minimises the impact of insulation on the aesthetics of the building and reduces the thickness of the wall, increasing the usable area of the building.

Guides for installing clinker tiles enable easy and quick installation and the use of three different tile formats (RF/NF/WDF).

Icon

The absence of insulation board cladding ensures particular ease of processing, adjustment and installation of thermal insulation without loss of parameters and without the need for specialised equipment.

Icon

High resistance to biological and chemical factors and low water absorption of the insulation guarantee the durability and functionality of the façade and high insulation efficiency over many years.

Transport and storage

EUROPIR® DUAL insulation board packages should be transported using appropriate, designated means of transport. Packages can be delivered by bulk transport without pallets or packed on pallets.

Recommendations for the storage and transport of EUROPIR® thermal insulation boards:

  • carry out the handling, loading and unloading of boards manually in single packages;
  • packages delivered on pallets should be carried, loaded and unloaded using appropriate forklift trucks;
  • protect packages and boards from damage (e.g. do not throw them);
  • store packages and boards in a dry place;
  • protect the panels from weather conditions;
  • do not place heavy or sharp objects on the panels that could damage them;
  • after unpacking, protect the panels from UV radiation. Sunlight does not impair the technical parameters, but may cause a change in the colour of the product;
  • Dispose of packaging and panels in accordance with local regulations.

IMPORTANT Preparing the board.
Dust the surface of the board to be glued using a soft brush or paintbrush.
Substrate preparation. The substrate should be load-bearing, clean, free of stains and efflorescence, dust-free and free of formwork oil residues. Clean the substrate mechanically or wash it with water, remove loose layers not bonded to the substrate.

Glue the panels to the wall surface using a suitable adhesive or adhesive mortar. Installation using appropriate mechanical fasteners is also acceptable.

At every stage of the work, protect the boards from UV rays. Sunlight does not impair the parameters of the boards, but it does cause a change in colour.

During work, use appropriate personal protective equipment and observe health and safety rules.
