EUROPIR® ETICS – highly insulating rigid PIR foam boards without cladding, designed for thermal insulation of external walls and internal partitions. The product is recommended for insulating facades finished with plaster, paint, bricks or clinker tiles. The material can be used on any substrate specified in the recommendations for ETICS façade construction. Indoors, the board is most often used to insulate walls separating heated rooms from unheated rooms (e.g. unheated garages, stairwells).

EUROPIR® ETICS boards are one of the most effective insulation materials for wall insulation. They are made of rigid PIR foam without additional layers of foil, paper or veil.

EUROPIR® ETICS boards are used to insulate the walls of single- and multi-family buildings, public buildings and commercial premises. It is an excellent solution for both new buildings and those undergoing thermal modernisation. EUROPIR insulation is recommended for the thermal insulation of historic buildings, as well as for use in energy-efficient construction and passive houses.

Application in construction:

Single-family and multi-family buildings.

Residential blocks.

Public utility buildings.

Commercial premises.

Energy-efficient and passive buildings.

Historic buildings.

Insulation of newly constructed buildings.

Thermal modernisation.

The use of highly insulating PIR boards without cladding, with stable and durable parameters, translates into an effective reduction in energy losses used for heating and cooling rooms, and the associated costs.

Icon

The exceptionally low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ) among unclad panels translates into a significantly lower thickness of the insulation layer and its negligible impact on the height of insulated rooms.

Icon

The absence of insulation board cladding ensures exceptional ease of processing, thermal insulation adjustment, and quick and easy installation without the need for specialised equipment.

Icon

High resistance to biological and chemical factors and low water absorption of EUROPIR® insulation guarantee high insulation efficiency for many years.

Icon

EUROPIR® insulation's A+ rating for indoor air quality means a healthy microclimate in insulated rooms and even greater insulation safety for people and animals.

Transport and storage

EUROPIR® insulation board packages should be transported using appropriate, designated means of transport. Packages can be delivered by bulk transport without pallets or packed on pallets.

Recommendations for the storage and transport of EUROPIR® thermal insulation boards:

  • carry out the handling, loading and unloading of boards manually in single packages,
  • packages delivered on pallets should be carried, loaded and unloaded using appropriate forklift trucks,
  • protect packages and boards from damage, do not throw them,
  • Store packages and boards in a dry place.
  • protect the panels from weather conditions,
  • do not place heavy or sharp objects on the panels that could damage them,
  • Dispose of packaging and boards in accordance with local regulations.
  • After unpacking, protect the panels from UV radiation. Sunlight does not impair the technical parameters, but may cause the product to change colour.

Packaging

As standard, EUROPIR® boards are packed in packages wrapped in heat-shrinkable film measuring 1000x600 mm and approx. 500 mm in height.

Preparing the substrate

The substrate should be load-bearing, clean, free of stains and efflorescence, free of dust and formwork oil residues. Clean the substrate mechanically or wash it with water, remove loose layers not bonded to the substrate.

Implementation guidelines

Glue the panels to the wall surface using a suitable adhesive or adhesive mortar. Installation using appropriate mechanical fasteners is also acceptable. Protect the panels from UV rays at every stage of the work. Sunlight does not impair the parameters of the panels, but it does cause a change in colour. During work, use appropriate personal protective equipment and observe health and safety rules.
