In view of growing requirements for energy efficiency and living comfort, the right choice and proper installation of a building insulation system is becoming crucial. Both in newly constructed houses and those undergoing thermal modernisation, the ETICS insulation system using EUROPIR PIR boards plays an important role. It not only ensures significant energy savings, but also improves the quality of life of residents by ensuring a stable microclimate inside buildings.
EUROPIR® ETICS THERMAL INSULATION BOARD is the basis for modern external wall insulation systems. Made of rigid PIR foam, the board is 20 to 200 mm thick and has a coverage area of 1000 x 600 mm. EUROPIR® ETICS insulation is one of the most efficient insulation materials and has a thermal conductivity coefficient of λD= 0.023 – 0.025 W/(m*K).
The unique insulating properties of EUROPIR® boards allow for excellent energy efficiency with relatively lower insulation thickness. This translates into a larger usable living area (PUM), which is important in terms of building aesthetics and the use of available space.
The ETICS system using EUROPIR® thermal insulation boards is ideally suited to Polish climatic conditions. Thanks to the excellent insulating properties of these boards, buildings can effectively maintain a stable internal temperature regardless of external conditions. In summer, this insulation prevents excessive heating of the interior, while in winter it effectively retains heat inside, which translates into significant energy savings.
EUROPIR® ETICS thermal insulation boards are ETICS certified, which proves the high standard of our thermal insulation products and their compliance with the quality requirements and safety standards applicable in the European Union.

MOISTURE IS THE NIGHTMARE OF GOOD INSULATION
The greatest enemy of all insulation materials is moisture, which effectively and permanently reduces the thermal insulation properties of many materials. More importantly, the susceptibility of insulation material to moisture causes damage (e.g. rotting, mould growth) and a permanent loss of insulation parameters.
EUROPIR® ETICS boards are characterised by very low water absorption. This makes them an excellent, durable and, importantly, mould and microorganism-resistant insulation for building facades. This feature of PIR foam has made it an increasingly popular insulation material. In addition, polyurethanes are materials that are unattractive to insects and rodents. By using EUROPIR® ETICS insulation, we protect the building both from heat loss and from the appearance of unwanted tenants, such as insects, mice, rats or martens.
EASY PROCESSING OF THERMAL INSULATION BOARDS AND INSULATION TIGHTNESS – thermal insulation board in the ETICS system
For experienced contractors, it is obviously an advantage that EUROPIR® insulation is easy to work with due to its handy format and low weight. EUROPIR® ETICS boards can be cut and sanded directly on site, adapting the insulation to the individual structural elements of the building. This does not require any specialised equipment. Furthermore, the insulation does not lose its properties during such processing.
The relative lightness and reduced thickness of EUROPIR® ETICS insulation allows you to avoid unnecessary loading on walls and foundations in many situations. This aspect is particularly important when planning the thermal modernisation of existing buildings.
Thermal insulation board in the ETICS system – THE MOST IMPORTANT BENEFITS OF USING SYSTEMS BASED ON EUROPIR® ETICS BOARDS:
- Effective reduction of energy costs for heating and air conditioning.
- Comfort associated with easier maintenance of appropriate temperatures both in hot summer and in winter and autumn.
- EUROPIR® ETICS panels have increased resistance to mould and microorganisms, which ensures a healthy microclimate. In addition, they have an A+ rating for their impact on air purity.
- Better access to natural light, which is essential for the healthy functioning of our bodies and effective learning and working. This is particularly important in autumn and winter.
- No excessive load on walls and foundations and no associated costs.
- Reliability and durability of insulation parameters.
- Speed of installation due to the use of easier-to-process insulation material, i.e. unclad panels.
- 30-40% reduction in the thickness of the insulation layer required to achieve the same insulation effect.
